The Artist

This next client is a very talented watercolor artist as well as a really fun person. Her house and gardens are gorgeous and I fell in love with her little waterfall and pond. I also love the fact that even though it is in the the city, it feels like you are in a lush, quiet, secluded place. After some pictures of her painting we took some more pictures around the house and yard and then some up in her studio loft. Thanks B for a great session!

Lauren & David: The Engagement

Yesterday I had the pleasure of taking Lauren and David’s engagement pictures that we had been planning for a few months. David works far away from here and so planning in advance for this session was a must. They decided to do these in August while David was home and I knew if we were planning on August pictures they needed to be early…really early. So, we started out at 7:30 (yes, a.m.) and headed out to a property they borrowed. After lots of roads I have never heard of before, we found a dirt road leading to a rustic cabin. The property not only had a neat cabin but a lake, pier, bridge and tons of gorgeous trees. And, I was giddy with excitement seeing all of the old buildings right off the dirt road.

So, for a few hours they posed, smiled, kissed and were totally great sports about everything I suggested them doing. Lauren and David make the CUTEST couple and both were so sweet and easygoing that it made my job a breeze. It was soaking wet out after some evening showers and my shoes and pants were soaked and muddy when we were done but it was so worth it for the great pictures I got. Thanks Lauren and David for a fabulous engagement session and I can’t wait to photograph your wedding this fall!

Reverend Judy

Yesterday, my daughter started ballet and I ran into Reverend Judy there and I realized that I had never shared any pictures from our session. I met Reverand Judy when the church called and inquired about getting a portrait of Reverend Judy for the Parrish Hall. We spent some time trying out various backdrops and talking about life in general. It was such an honor to take this picture and I really enjoyed getting to know Reverend Judy as she is just the sweetest person. And, this makes two hugs from clients in the last two days. I love my job and all the amazing people I get to meet through it!

Love Never Ages

Sometimes I take a picture and it reminds me of an age in my life or my kids’ life that has already passed by and it makes me a little nostalgic. This past weekend I photographed a very cute couple and it makes me wonder if my husband and I will be this cute one day down the road…

FSU Law Grad!!!! [Tallahassee Thomasville, GA Photographer]

I met this lovely young lady last Friday for some pictures as she was graduating from FSU Law school the following day and she wanted to capture this really important milestone in her life. I started with some pictures of her in her full cap and gown and then some pictures with her husband. Then, her parents arrived from south (well, middle I guess) Florida and they jumped in for a few pictures as well. Her family was SO proud and her mom even requested a picture pointing to the three stripes on her sleeves which means she was graduation with high honors. Her sister was so cute adjusting her cap and her parents kept giving her hugs and kisses. It was too cute.

Part Two
After the cap and gown pictures with the family, we walked around town to capture a few pictures of her and her hubby. They were so cute together! And the fedora? LOVE IT!!!!!!!!

Congratulations BC!!!!!
