Finally…Nice Weather

At our session, this mom and I were joking about the weather…just waiting for a raindrop, huge gust of wind or even snow. Why? Well, last year we had to reschedule our session a few times due to the weather and then even the day of the session, we had huge, huge gusts of wind and at times hair was flying everywhere.

We decided on a scenic location and one set of grandparents even got in on the mix for some pictures with the family. The kids were so well behaved…I wish I could get my three to listed as well as their four do! Mom was talking about the fact that with four kids they were running out of room on the walls and so I offered up a suggestion of a storyboard which is a great idea if you wants to get a few shots into one spot on the wall. I also let the kids get their wiggles out and make funny faces at me and Mom said they would love to see those pictures on the blog so I had to include them on here! As I was leaving the session, two of the kids were yelling goodbye to me and then they each told me they loved me. See…another one of those job perks I just adore! I think I will save the ones of mom and dad for them as a surprise :)

Fun Family [Thomasville, GA Family Portrait Photographer]

I met this family on a balmy (ok, hot, really, really hot) weeknight for a few family pictures. They have three boys and they were so well behaved. The little one was cracking me up with his wrinkle nosed smiles because he “thought” that was the best way to smile. I must say that seeing their family portrait with all three kids looking so cute makes me really itch to have our portraits taken again. The last time we had one was when my daughter was a baby! That is wayyyy too long and I am resolving to change that this fall. The question is….who will take our pictures?

So, back to this family. Their mom happens to be a friend of mine and she is a blast to hang out with. She makes Girls Night Out the *B*E*S*T* and the whole family is so much FUN! It was easy to get great pictures of such a beautiful family. Thanks y’all for a fabulous session!

The Cover Boy + One [Thomasville, GA Child & Family Photographer]

Soooo….

I am a little behind in editing. Well, for me I am behind. I have a bunch of storyboard orders that need to be designed and some others sessions and the pics I took of my boys the other day. Don’t even ask me where my pictures from Europe are. My family keeps emailing me, asking for pictures and I have NONE edited. None. I know…

But, there is light at the end of the tunnel. School starts on Monday and as much as I will miss my kids, not only will I be able to get caught up but I won’t hear the tag lines “there’s nothing to do” and “that’s not fair” all day long. I drug all of my kids to Tallahassee the other day just to look for fabric for a bench for the studio. Thank goodness for little Nintendos :)

So, back to the cuteness. This next little guy is my current website coverboy. He is the one in front of the tired and I have used the ones of him in a necktie over and over because I love them so. Now this little boy is TWO! How did time fly by so fast? He still has beautiful blue eyes and now he is ffaaassssttt and he loves to talk and explain everything to you and it is totally cute.

and now this cute little boy has a new baby sister! She is three months old now and so sweet but she did not want to smile for me at all. Sigh…

Here is one picture with Mommy.Doesn’t she look fabulous after just after having a baby? I love how sweet their bond is…

And how sweet is this with her big brother?

and one last picture of the whole family…

Thanks y’all for a great session!

Family Photo [Thomasville, GA Family Photographer]

I met this family a few years back when I started preschool pictures and I they scheduled a session for their two adorable kids, but we never took a family photos. I was so excited to get an email from them last month to not only photography their kids but to capture a few family photos as well. Their little guy reminds me so much of my boys at this age – cute, funny, busy and never staying still! Their daughter is a posing pro (I literally mean pro), but I am only sharing a few of her here as we have our very own session coming up next week and I am sure that will be a big blog post. Thanks y’all for a fun and fabulous session!

(Click on the photos underneath the first one to see them close up – I thought I would try something new!)
