I tell you, every time I see this baby girl she grins and smiles and is just happy, happy, happy. She doesn’t put up a fuss for clothing or background changes and I always enjoy chatting with her parents throughout the appointment. She is nine months old now and I can’t believe the next time I see it her will be her birthday and the end of her time on the baby plan.

Mandy & Chad: Engaged!!!!

I have known Mandy for many years now and she is just one of the sweetest people around and a lot of fun as well. I was so happy to hear about her meeting Chad whom she raved about how sweet he was and so I am so excited to share their engagement pictures. We headed out to Pebble Hill Plantation for pictures, but you see, he hadn’t actually proposed yet and they were just taking pictures as a couple. Chad, being totally sneaky, called me up and planned to surprise her with a ring and the big question right before me so I decided to video it as well (one of those great functions on my camera). It was such a sweet moment and I was happy to be a party of it. Chad even brought champagne to celebrate and when I jokingly asked where my glass was to make a toast, he not only pulled one out but a chilled class. He gets and A+ in my book

Congratulations you too and I wish you many, many years of happiness! Their wedding will be in rather far away so I will be stalking someone’s blog for pictures from their big day. Congratulations!

Little Miss Serious

I am not sure why this precious little one was not in the smiling mood on the day of her session but nothing (and no one) could get her to crack even the tiniest of smiles. She looked quite adorable in every singe picture with that beautiful skin, chubby cheeks and that angelic little stare. She even let me hold her and chat with her just fine, but the smiles were not happening. I just know that her one year sessions will be full of adorable grins!

On Her Way to NYC

Hi everyone and I hope that each one of you had a great mother’s day as I did. It was quiet, relaxing, rainy day and I spent lots of time with the kids while my husband worked on a paper for the class he is taking. It’s finally time to get a little work done and I am determined to get a week of blog posts ready before the last crazy week of school starts. Yes, for those of you not in south Georgia, we have five days left of the school year and that means we have been going from one awards ceremony/soccer game/band concert etc. to the next.

I met up with this beautiful 15 year old one evening for some portfolio as she is headed off to NYC this summer for some modeling. She is not only tall, thin, and beautiful – all of which are important in that field, but she also knows how to pose and look different from one frame to the next which is a huge plus. Our session (which was almost cancelled) got called off a bit early to the dark, dark clouds that enveloped the sky but I love how we got some happy/sunny pictures and some moody ones as well. I think I could shoot this girl every day of the week and she would be able to pull off something different every day. Can you tell I love working with models?

9 Month Cutie

This little guy came into the studio for his nine month session with a ton of new hair and even cuter little legs (which I thought was impossible) and that adorable little grin he does. He was so sweet at the session and he is quite the cuddler. But, my favorite were the very impromptu pictures with his beautiful mommy. Those are priceless!

Pebble Hill Family Session

I first met this family for the little one’s newborn pictures and she has grown so much since then! We had great weather for the session and big brother was happy (and he is a little ham) the whole time but the little miss only smiled for a short bit just to get those family pictures in and then she was done. Well, done with me. She loved being outside and taking in everything! Thanks y’all for a great session and I really enjoyed it.

Summer is Almost Here

Good morning! Just a quick hello from me while the end of the school year is winding down and if your calendar is anything like mine, it is CRAZY busy. It seems that every kid has some ceremony/concert/game every day (including my husband and his softball schedule) and so we are on the run. But, with only 9 days left of school I see an end in sight as when the heat increases, the sessions slow down and people are off to enjoy the summer at the beach and in the pool. I will have some new peeks from some recent sessions starting tomorrow – it seems all the recent things I have edited are bridals or surprises for someone so they are on hold for sharing for a bit.

Two quick announcements. Next week we will be announcing a summer special for a special kind of studio session so be on the lookout for that. Also, I decided to reserve two weeks on my calendar for my family right before school starts so although I won’t be taking any appointments for those two weeks, my assistant Rachael will still be around in case someone needs something.

I will leave you this morning with my adorable nephew! I can’t wait to see this guy again and get my snuggles from him.

This little Minnie Mouse is quite the cutie and she was very sleepy (therefore easy to pose) so we had lots of fun capturing her first set of pictures. Her mommy has three bigger ones at home so some of this little ones session was created to mimic their pictures. Her mommy also happens to be an uber-creative friend of mine so she had some fun designing a set for us out of some of my many wraps and scarves!

You will see this little one back in a month!

The Champion Sleeper

Meet the newest member of my baby plan and the champion sleeper of all time! Normally, it takes quite awhile to get the babies super sleepy and ready for posing but this little girl was asleep on arrival and slept every minute of her session. I was shocked as this has only happened once before and this little girls’s session was much longer. We got so many cute pictures and the perfect pink picture for her nursery. I can’t wait to see her grow and change this year!

Awaiting Their Son

I met up with these two on a beautiful evening and the weather was just perfect! I had to keep telling this mommy to be to poke her stomach out a bit as she is carrying very small and she is tall so the bump is terribly cute. We tried out some new poses and had a blast! You will get to see a lot of this baby boy on the blog this year as he is signed up on the baby plan too! I can’t wait to meet this little sweetheart!
