Sarah + Logan [Thomasville, GA Wedding Photographer]

This past Saturday, I had the pleasure of shooting the wedding of Sarah and Logan. This was a small wedding of just family and it was going to be held in a beautiful pecan grove on the Twin Oaks plantation. And then, it rained. And rained some more. As I arrived, the raindrops were tapering off, but tjhe family decided to stay dry and have the ceremony inside the house. We were thrilled when the rain stopped and we could head back outside for pictures after the ceremony. This is a private plantation (another one to add to my current list) and just beautiful. After an hour or so of pictures, including some fun ones, I headed out and the family went off to celebrate the marriage with some yummy food. Congratulations Sarah and Logan!

9 Months

I am sure you recognize this cutie from other sessions this year and now she is 9 months old and her hair has gotten so long and her little arms and legs are so cute and chubby! Her mommy (again) had the cutest outfits for her and she was great about all the outfit changes. Her granparents came along for the session and she just adored them – it was so cute to see.

Jessica & Family [Thomasville, GA Family Photographer]

Not long after I moved here, a mutual friend decided that Jessica and I had to meet. We both liked to scrapbook and so we got together with a group of girls for a fun night in. We hit it off and although I don’t run into her often, seeing her always makes me smile. I have photographed her family a few times before and it is always fun to see them again and how much their son has grown. And, now they have a new little guy in their family. This little guy was very smiley and sweet, but sitting still was never part of the plan. As for the older brother, he is a dream to photograph and he is such a polite and patient (with all the pictures I beg to take) subject. This family wanted to have their pictures taken on the grounds of their church which is a very important part of their lives. I thought that was really neat.

Kimberly + Dustin

I met Kimberly last year when I started doing work for Archbold for their various publications. You may even remember a picture of Kimberly from one of my shoots with them as I couldn’t share any of those pictures, but she was sweet and signed a release for me to use her picture. I also knew her mother from years back but I never knew that Kimberly was her daughter until we started working together.

Anyway, Kimberly and Dustin are getting married next winter and so we decided that it was time for the engagement pictures and we wanted something fun. Kimberly came through with some seriously fun and colorful outfits witht he awesome location, we had a great backdrop for some really fun pictures. A special thanks to a collegue, Kylene Gay for giving me the great location idea.

First, here are a few pictures from their engagement session.

Laura + Jonathan, Part 2 [Thomasville, GA Wedding Photographer]

I wanted to share a few more of Laura and her new husband Jonathan from their big day. They opted for a first look which was wonderful as we got so many pictures out of the way before the ceremony and then just a few were taken after the ceremony and so this new couple got to actually enjoy the reception instead of spending a bunch of it taking pictures. They were so *cute* together before the cermony with all the anticipation in the air. And after the ceremony, it was so special to be with the two of them as I felt like I was privvy to this special secret, this wave of joy and emotions that come right after the couple has been pronounced man and wife. It is really one of the most special things I have ever witnessed. And now, on with the pictures. Take note of the last one. Laura’s “nephew” (AKA the cute pup) was also dressed for the occasion in full tux attire. Love it!
