Annabelle [Thomasville, GA Newborn Photographer]

Annabelle’s arrival has been a long awaited occasion. Her mommy happens to be a very good friend of mine and she has been planning, purchasing and getting ready for this session for months. We wanted to try a few new things but of course that all depended on how good of a sleeper she was. I couldn’t believe that she stayed awake for the first few pictures with her mom (AND she smiled during those) and then she slept hard during every single picture. We moved her, changed her, swapped out props and she slept through it all. It was amazing. I couldn’t pick a favorite from this session if I tried. It is impossible. So, I will share a bunch :)

She’s 7 Months [Thomasville, GA Baby Photographer]

By far, my favorite time for baby pictures is the 6-8 month age, right when they can sit up but they can’t yet go anywhere. Babies at this age are full of personality and they make so many sweet and adorable faces that I laugh repeatedly when I am editing the session.

This is my third time taking this cutie’s pictures and I love seeing her grow from a tiny newborn into a sweet baby girl with big brown eyes and the cutest little disposition. We were cracking up during her session as she kept sucking in her lips, even when she smiled, and her mommy said this was a new thing. I just thought it was the cutest thing and she was just sparkling with personality and cuteness throughout the session.

Archbold Oncology Center [Thomasville, GA Commercial / Corporate Photographer]

This past week has been crazy trying to catch up on sleep, laundry, work and everything else after coming back from 10 days in Europe. I still have a lot of changes in store for the website (updating pictures and such), the blog (a new background and new headers) and some new additions to the site for clients. As for the building, you should be seeing the new sign which will be installed either towards the end of this week or early next week. I am also in the process of ordering a new awning and the front windows will also be replaced. Inside, we finally have our permits so the deconstruction has started with all of the flooring gone and the drop ceiling and two walls are in the works. I am now guessing a late August opening. As for the modeling, I have not yet received the box of samples and the owner (who sews everything herself) was leaving on vacation the day after I returned from mine so I guess it will be a few weeks more. I got many responses to my call for models so when the box has arrived and I know what I will need, I will set a date/time for the session and send out a call to everyone who contacted me. To be fair, I will take the first 5 or 6 that respond to that email that can make the date/time and have a child that wears that specific size. There are just too many cute kids to choose from and this will make a hard choice easy :)

Last week, I spent some time at the new Oncology center that Archbold is building and I was amazed at how beautiful it was. I have been taking pictures at the old building for a few years now so I know how things work there pretty well and I must say that the patients are going to LOVE this new oncology center and all of the room and new features for the patients. Archbold put a lot of love and care into this design and you can really see it in all of the details. The new building opens this August and there will be a public dedication where everyone is invited to come and view the facilities. Watch for details on the opening in the newspaper as it gets closer to the opening date.

I have some sweet baby sessions this week so stay tuned for sneak peeks :)

8 1/2 [Thomasville, GA Child Photographer]

This handsome guy is my nephew and every summer he comes to stay with us a few weeks and this year it will be a whole month. My boys love having him here and he loves having “siblings” for awhile – although yesterday he said he didn’t want any sisters or brothers as there is too much fighting. Too funny. My sister stopped ordering school pictures of him years ago so I get to be his personal photographer and he always smiles well for me (of course I get some funny outtakes too).
