Time to VOTE!

Hi everyone! Happy Saturday to everyone. It is the LAST weekend of summer vacation and so I am spending every minute of it with the kids before they head back to school on Monday morning. Starting Monday not only can I finally go back to a regular routine, but I hope to have a much cleaner house and office.

For everyone that entered the contest or just wants to vote, please head over to the facebook business page and in the gallery labeled End of Summer Cutest Kids, find the child (or children) you wish to vote for and click on the word “like” underneath the picture. I have “liked” all the pictures to start it off. We have almost 30 entries so that is wonderful! You can send your friends, families, and co-workers emails or facebook messages to remind them to vote. Once they have voted once they are done so it is pretty quick and easy. Parents, don’t forget to vote for your own child!

Last of all, I figured it was time for another studio update. A client asked me about it this week saying that every time she drove by they were working on the building. Yes, work is still ongoing! We had an issue with the joists under the floor (many had to be replaced) as well as one or two on the ceiling. It has slowed progress down but it is a very necessary thing. The floor is finished and they are now working on the ceiling. I think the new wall was also framed out this week which is going to be great to see the progress.

As for decorating, I think I have gotten 6 different paint samples and now that I found a fabric I am using for the bench, nothing matches so I am back to square one. The new couch finally arrived and my very own husband is building my bench and that is near done. I am still hoping to have the grand opening the first week of September.

Thanks everyone and please go leave your votes!!

The Cover Boy + One [Thomasville, GA Child & Family Photographer]

Soooo….

I am a little behind in editing. Well, for me I am behind. I have a bunch of storyboard orders that need to be designed and some others sessions and the pics I took of my boys the other day. Don’t even ask me where my pictures from Europe are. My family keeps emailing me, asking for pictures and I have NONE edited. None. I know…

But, there is light at the end of the tunnel. School starts on Monday and as much as I will miss my kids, not only will I be able to get caught up but I won’t hear the tag lines “there’s nothing to do” and “that’s not fair” all day long. I drug all of my kids to Tallahassee the other day just to look for fabric for a bench for the studio. Thank goodness for little Nintendos :)

So, back to the cuteness. This next little guy is my current website coverboy. He is the one in front of the tired and I have used the ones of him in a necktie over and over because I love them so. Now this little boy is TWO! How did time fly by so fast? He still has beautiful blue eyes and now he is ffaaassssttt and he loves to talk and explain everything to you and it is totally cute.

and now this cute little boy has a new baby sister! She is three months old now and so sweet but she did not want to smile for me at all. Sigh…

Here is one picture with Mommy.Doesn’t she look fabulous after just after having a baby? I love how sweet their bond is…

And how sweet is this with her big brother?

and one last picture of the whole family…

Thanks y’all for a great session!

The Contest is On…. [Thomasville, GA Portrait Photographer]

Hi everyone! I have really enjoyed getting so many emails with the sweetest pictures of all these kids being entered into my End of Summer Cutest Kid Contest. Seriously…there are so many cute ones that I am thrilled that I have nothing to do with picking one as it would be impossible. I hope the entries keep rolling in get your entries in now…there are only two days left to enter!

I have had a few questions about the contest that I thought I would answer for everyone. These were questions sent to me this week:
1. What age do the contestants need to be? This contest is for kids ages 17 and under. So far all of the entries are smaller kids but I would LOVE to get some bigger kids or teenagers entered as well.
2. Do i need to be a previous client in order to enter? NO! This is open to everyone :)
3. I want to enter both my children so can I send a picture of them together? No. I need one picture per child but you can send it all in one email. Just make sure to provide the information for all of the children you are entering.

Last of all, last week I bought a new “ugly” chair. This is something that many photographer’s have (OK, I already had one but I needed one more) to photograph their clients in. Some of the chairs are really ugly, shades of gold, orange or avacado and various shades of red. I bought this one in Tallahassee and after some major cleanup with the steamer, it is clean and ready to be used. I decided I had to test it out first so here are a few from my mini session. Give me a call if you want to book a session with my newest chair…and me of course :)

End of Summer Cutest Kid Contest

Hi everyone! In the beginning of 2010 I promised to have a few contests throughout the year and I am feeling bad that I have only had one so far. I do have a few fun things planned for the studio opening as well as something for Christmas, but I thought it would be fun to hold a contest that coincided with the end of summer. For those of you out of town, summer officially ends for us this Sunday as school starts on August 2 (well, at least the schools my kids attend). So, grab a photo of your cute kid and send in your entry today!

This sweet little girl is about to turn four and she is packed with personality! She spent our time posing and bee-boppin’ around and she completely cracked me up throughout the session.
