If you’ve followed Ursula Page Photography for a while, you probably know that this business has been such a big part of my life. For almost 20 years, it’s also been my full-time job. What you may not know is just how much of a blessing it’s been for my family.
Photography gave me something rare and beautiful. It allowed me to build a career I loved while also being present for my kids as they grew up. From school drop-offs and field trips to quiet weekday moments and last-minute appointments, I had the flexibility to be there for it all. I wouldn’t trade that for anything.
From early on, I always knew that once my kids were grown, I would eventually step into a new chapter. With my youngest heading off to college in August, it feels like the perfect time. I’ve accepted a new full-time opportunity that I’m truly excited about. I’m staying right here in town, and you might even be seeing more of me than you did before.
That being said, I’m not stepping away from photography completely. It will always be a part of who I am. I’ll still be offering portraits and headshots, including babies, seniors, families, and more, but in a very limited way. My plan is to take on just a few sessions each month, scheduled around my new full-time job.
I’m also shifting to mostly all-inclusive digital packages come August. That means your session will include a full gallery of high-resolution digital images. Prints, holiday cards, and other gift items will still be available, but only as optional add-ons. This new approach helps simplify things and allows me to focus more of my time on photographing and editing, which is what I love most.
For those of you who have asked, yes, I do still plan to offer a day of fall mini sessions each year. It’s one of my favorite events, and I love seeing so many familiar faces all in one weekend.
Over the next year, I’ll also be slowly selling many of my props and studio items, keeping just the basics. If there’s anything you’ve been curious about or interested in, feel free to reach out.
I just want to say thank you. Thank you for your trust, your support, and your kindness over the years. I’ve been lucky to meet incredible families, make lasting friendships, and watch so many children grow up through my lens. This year, some of the very first newborns I ever photographed graduated from high school. That full-circle moment was emotional in the best way.
I’m grateful for everything this photography journey has given me, and I’m excited for what’s ahead. This new season feels like the right next step, and I’m walking into it with so much appreciation.
with so much gratitude,
Ursula Page
